QUESTIONS PEOPLE ACTUALLY ASK ABOUT OUTSOURCING THEIR SALES
For anything specific to how KISS works, our full overview has everything you need.
Outsourced sales means bringing in an external team to handle some or all of your outbound sales activity on your behalf. Rather than hiring, training and managing an in-house salesperson, you work with specialists who represent your business, have conversations with your target market, and create opportunities for you. At KISS, that means real phone-based conversations with real people, conducted in a way that reflects well on your business and builds genuine relationships.
If you have a service people genuinely value, a reasonable idea of who your ideal clients are, and you know you should be doing more outbound but never quite get around to it, then yes, it is probably right for you. It works particularly well for sole traders, small teams and service-based businesses who are winning work through word of mouth but want something more consistent and less reliant on referrals and luck.
Telemarketing is typically high-volume, scripted calling aimed at generating quick results through sheer numbers. Outsourced sales, done properly, is something quite different. It is about targeted, intelligent outreach that represents your brand well, builds relationships over time, and creates conversations that actually go somewhere. At KISS, we do not do scripts and we do not do volume for the sake of it. We have conversations that lead to high quality, long term clients for your business.
Hiring a salesperson means salary, employer National Insurance, pension contributions, holiday cover, management time, and a significant risk if it does not work out. Outsourced sales converts all of that into a straightforward, flexible arrangement with no employment overheads. You get experienced people who are ready to go immediately, without the recruitment process, the onboarding, or the long-term commitment of a full-time hire. Not to mention that the way we work with you is a direct reflection on us. Your results, is our reputation. When you work with us we are heavily invested in your business success, way more than an employee ever would be.
Honestly, it depends on your market, your offer, and how warm your target audience already is. Most businesses start to see conversations and opportunities opening up within the first few weeks. Building a consistent pipeline takes a little longer, typically a full quarter before you have a clear picture of momentum. Anyone who promises you immediate results without knowing your business first is worth approaching with caution. If quick results is what would make the most difference in your business, take a look at our free resource for some advice.
It works best for businesses with a clear offer, an identifiable target market, and a service that lends itself to conversation rather than a quick transactional decision. Professional services, recruitment, consultancy, trades, financial services, SaaS, IT, and other relationship-driven sectors tend to see strong results. If your business grows best through trust and reputation, outsourced sales is a natural fit. If you're not sure, get in touch with us for a quick chat.
They should, and if they do not, that is a red flag. At KISS, we do not pick up the phone until we properly understand what you do, who you serve, and why people choose you. That understanding shapes every conversation we have on your behalf. We have a very comprehensive onboarding process to ensure we are throuroughly confident about representing your business.
Clear, honest reporting is non-negotiable. You should always know what activity has taken place, what conversations have happened, what the feedback from the market is, and what the next steps are. Vague updates and vanity metrics are not good enough. For full details on how KISS reports and what you can expect to see, our overview covers this in depth. Take a look through that here.
Pricing varies considerably depending on the level of activity, the complexity of the market, and what is included. Some providers charge per lead, others work on a monthly retainer. For a transparent breakdown of how KISS works and what investment looks like, download our full overview here.
Talk to them. A good partner will ask you more questions than they answer in that first conversation. They will want to understand your business, your clients, and what success looks like for you before they say anything about what they can do. If the first conversation is mostly a pitch, keep looking. It's also important to recognise that nobody can 100% guarantee success every time. Whilst it may sound wonderful, it's not realistic.
You do not need everything perfect before you start, but you do need a clear offer, some idea of who your ideal clients are, and the capacity to actually follow up on the opportunities that get created. The worst outcome is a pipeline full of warm conversations that nobody follows through on. This is all part of what we include in our onboarding process with you. If you don't currently have adequate capacity to close and deliver on new business, we have partners we can connect you with to support this.
That is a great question and one we have answered in full in our overview, along with exactly how we work, what our process looks like, and what you can realistically expect. Download it here and see for yourself.
STILL GOT QUESTIONS?
If your question isn't here, it probably needs a proper conversation rather than a written answer. That's what we're here for.
